Free Brokers

  • Advantages: no commission, very simple to use, instant deposits.

  • Disadvantages: 3x day trade limit unless you have 25k, less priority over paid brokers.

Robinhood

  • great for smaller accounts because of the no commission fees, but lacks some stocks, cryptocurrencies, and software that could make it better.

WeBull

  • similar too Robinhood, much better overall.

Paid Brokers

  • Advantages: Priority over free brokers, advanced software available, top tier support.

  • Disadvantages: Commission based

TD Ameritrade

  • great for larger accounts where commissions will not kill your account. Lacks many cryptocurrencies, but you can short unlike Robinhood. Even comes with its own amazing software called ThinkOrSwim.

E*Trade

  • similar to TD Ameritrade except a different layout.
